MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The final week of 2015 is turning out to be one for the record books with very warm, humid weather continuing the rest of the week.

On Monday, Miami hit a record high of 84 degrees. The old record was 83 set back in 20017.

Tuesday, with even more sunshine, we will likely break records again. The CBS4 weather team is forecasting a high of 86 degrees in Miami and the old record is 85 set back in 1981. The forecast calls for a high of 85 in Ft. Lauderdale and the old record is 86 degrees set back in 1934.

Our morning lows have also been well above normal the past few days with mid to upper 70s. Our average low this time of year is 61 degrees.

This unseasonable weather pattern continues the rest of the week as high pressure remains in control and will block any cold fronts from sweeping in across South Florida until Friday.

A front will move in and Saturday morning we'll wake up with a low of around 70 degrees and highs will be in the upper 70s and low 80s. Sunday morning will be a bit cooler with mid to upper 60s and highs in the afternoon will be in the mid to upper 70s.

Along with this slight dip in temperatures, we will also see an increase in clouds and showers around for the first weekend of 2016.

Although we'll finally see temperatures come back down to normal, we'll also have to contend with some rain.
