MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Police have charged the man they say is responsible for a string of south Florida car and home burglaries.
Michael Fernandez, 27, is facing numerous charges including burglary, grand theft and battery.
Police say he broke into dozens of cars last weekend in the parking lot of the Metropolitan Building on Brickell Avenue.
They said he's also responsible for a burglary in Miami Saturday and a home break-in on Christmas Eve in Coconut Grove, in which $100,000 in jewelry and electronics were stolen.
