Defensive Tackle C.J. Mosley Waived-Injured By Dolphins

DAVIE (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins have made another roster move as the team attempts to salvage the final month of its season.

The Dolphins announced on Tuesday they have waived-injured defensive tackle C.J. Mosley.

Mosley injured his calf during last Sunday's loss against the New York Jets.

An 11-year veteran in the NFL, Mosley had played in all 11 games for the Dolphins as a defensive reserve this season.

Mosley was signed prior to the season and joined Ndamukong Suh on Miami's defensive line.  The two had previously played together with the Detroit Lions, helping them to the league's top run defense in 2014.

Miami also re-signed offensive lineman Jacques McClendon on Tuesday to help fill in for starting center Mike Pouncey who left the Jets game with a foot injury.

Pouncey's replacement on Sunday, rookie Jamil Douglas, struggled with shotgun snaps, making quarterback Ryan Tannehill have to bend down to catch almost every one. Miami runs most of its offensive plays out of the shotgun.

To make room for McClendon, the Dolphins waived linebacker James-Michael Johnson.
