MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) -- The search is on for the gunman who shot up a Miramar home, hitting a man inside.

Miramar Police said a car drove up to the home early Sunday morning and someone inside started shooting.

The man injured in the shooting was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.  His condition is unknown at this time.

Meantime, investigators could be seen on Sunday at the town home, riddled with bullets, along the 7900 block of Pembroke Road.  They say the hole count climbed into the double digits.

The people who live there did not want to speak but police said they do not believe the man hit in the home was the intended target.

Two men visiting two doors down heard what happened.

"I went to the bathroom to change my clothes and I heard a bang, bang, bang. I thought someone was knocking on the door and I came out and all the police were out there," said Carlyle Dayton.

Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crimestoppers at (305) 471- TIPS.
