MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It's the last minute hustle, the set up. Artists and gallery operators prep for the big show that stretches from Miami Beach to Wynwood. Major, big-time art exhibitions and sales that thousands of people will take part in – this is Art Miami.

"Lots of art work here for everyone. All different price ranges," said Nick Korniloff. "People come and see this but most people want to buy. This [Andy Warhol collaboration] is gonna be piece that will not last long."

The Andy Warhol piece Korniloff references is a cool $5.45 million.

Art Miami has been Miami's premier art fair for the last 26 years.

Some 80,000 will show, buy, sell, enjoy 20th and 21st century art all in the heart of Wynwood.

Right next door, or rather next huge tent, is CONTEXT Art Miami where emerging, cutting edge artists make their name.

"It is great to come and see and talk to the artists and know a little bit more about the contemporary art world," said Julio Navarro, director of CONTEXT.

Across the bay, Art Basel begins its 2015 run in Miami Beach, as in the past, with a closed preview for big time art dealers and well-heeled art aficionados. The public isn't invited until Thursday.

Local artist Lebo has a show at the Surfcomber Hotel on the beach.

"I travel so much for work to do what I love to do," Lebo said. "To do it in a place like this, I am really thankful for that."

And at the SLS Hotel in South Beach, artist Jared Ryan is putting on a man show.

"[I] am an artist of soul and energy and emotion and usually I paint on canvas, but today it is gonna be on a duck!"

In a nutshell, there are two major venues with a multitude of shows, exhibitions and sales at numerous locations.
