MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) -- Miramar Police are looking for the drive-by shooter, or shooters, who shot up a house and hit one man inside.

Investigators marked evidence Sunday at the town home along the 7900 block of Pembroke Road. The bullet hole count climbed well into the double digits.

The people who live in the house later covered the riddle window panes with shutters.

Police said a car drove by overnight Sunday as someone in it opened fire. One unidentified man inside the home was hit, though police do not believe he was the intended target.

Neighbors visiting for the holidays two doors away heard the gunshots.

"I went to the bathroom to change my clothes and I heard 'bang, bang, bang'," Carlyle Lewis told CBS4 Reporter Donna Rapado. "I thought someone was knocking on the door and I came and all the police were out here."

Dayton Hollingshead was visiting his daughter, as he had many times before. "I've been here on quite a few occasions before and it's the first time something like this has happened."

The man who was shot was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood and was in stable condition.
