DAVIE (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins know that they are in must-win mode heading towards this weekend's matchup with the division rival New York Jets.

Dolphins interim head coach decided to give a couple of his key players some rest in the hopes that it will freshen them up for the team's big road game.

Wide receiver Jarvis Landry and left tackle Branden Albert were held out of practice on Wednesday to give them a break, but both will be available on Sunday against the Jets.

The Dolphins injury report listed Landry with a knee issue while Albert's absence was 'not injury related'.

Linebacker Jelani Jenkins (ankle) and right tackle Ja'Wuan James (toe) also missed practice, but they are dealing with injuries.

Safties Reshad Jones (pectoral) and Walt Aikens (ankle) were limited in practice, as were linebackers Koa Misi (abdomen), Spencer Paysinger (neck) and Kelvin Sheppard (hamstring).

Cornerback Brice McCain (knee) was also limited.
