Mike Rumph: I Like Mario Cristobal a Lot
"I like all of the names that I've been coached by, most of the coaches -- Coach [Greg] Schiano, Butch Davis, Coach [Rob Chudzinski, Coach [Mario] Cristobal," Miami Hurricanes legend and current head coach at American Heritage Mike Rumph said on the Joe Rose Show. "I like Cristobal a lot. I saw what he's done. I look at who recruits my school and how they recruit it. I haven't seen Butch Davis recruit my school. I saw Butch Davis recruit me back in 1998... I've had a couple more really good recruits come by but [Cristobal] is one of the top ones.
"The Hurricanes need a coach, it's gonna be a different type of coach where he can really grasp the community and he can come out and get some wins for sure because our fans are not going to tolerate losing and just have that chip on his shoulder as far as what he wants to do with his team and what he wants to do to get us back to where we used to be."
