MIAMI (CBSMiami) - University of Miami students have been warned to be on the look out for a man who groped a coed Sunday night.

UM police said the female student was walking to campus around 11:30 p.m. on Ponce De Leon Boulevard when man started to follow her near the Bank United Center. The student said when she looked back the man was fondling himself.

She said the man then walked up behind her, groped her backside and then ran off toward the Metrorail station.

"I hope that they catch him," said Firas Mesawi, "and bring him to justice."

Many students on campus were creeped out when they heard what had happened.

"This is campus and we shouldn't be worried about these things because it is a college campus and it's just crazy that this goes on," said Marissa Gudiel.

"There are going to be these kinds of people everywhere," said Sheeba Ajwani, "It's just about you being more careful."

Surveillance cameras in the area captured a grainy image of the man who was wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap and a T-shirt the Hard Rock Cafe logo.

Anyone who recognizes him is urged to call the police at (305) 284-6666.
