The largest literary event in the country gets underway Sunday Nov.15, and it is right here in our own backyard.

The Miami Book Fair International attracts hundreds of thousands of readers and writers .

The 8-day party builds to the famous street fair and if you've never experienced that, you need to put it on your "to-do" list.

The book fair was co-founded 32 years ago by Miami-Dade College and Mitchell Kaplan.

We focus on everything book fair, and talk to  a hometown author who will be reading her first novel there.
