OAKLAND PARK (CBSMiami) – At first glance with classic license plates on the bar and auto themes everywhere, The Filling Station and Garage Bar in Oakland Park might seem like it's all about cars. And that's just fine with executive chef and owner Adam Feigeles.

"The whole idea is old cars, classic cars, antique cars. I'm totally into all of those things and the filling station just goes with me serving a lot of food to fill people up!"  The beer garden is just that, and the beer flows if you join "The Mug Club." Yes, you can fill her up and then some!

"We have a mug club. You pay $100 bucks for the year and you get a 20 ounce mug instead of 16 ounce pint, so you get extra beer every time you come and we do special dinners and tastings and all sorts of things like that," he explained.

The Filling Station was a staple in downtown Miami for 6 years, but when this location, with more outside dining space and parking, opened up in Broward, Adam jumped on it. He brought his fan base north and his classic dishes to the table.

"We serve burgers, wings, we smoke our own pork and our tater tots are best tots in town. We're know for our tots!" Feigeles said.

CBS4's Lisa Petrillo decided she would be the judge of that.

The tater tots were tops on her list to taste.

"Adam did not lie about these tater tots!" Petrillo exclaimed. "They are crunchy and soft in the middle and delicious and special. These are best tater tots I've ever had."

On the other side of plate was "The Burgati Burger," which won the Sargento Cheese National Best Burger Award.

"It's actually heavy, like I am working out here , this is a scary big burger," Petrillo said.

Yes, it has everything and the kitchen sink.

"It's ginormous, it is moist, it is filled with so much stuff – but it all works," Petrillo said after tasting,

Another Filling Station favorite? The chicken wings, which can be marinated in any one of the many homemade sauces. Petrillo chose sweet barbeque.

"So the sauce, as another chicken company would say, is 'finger lickin' good.' The real deal. The wings are tender and delicious," Petrillo said.

And finally, a meal of a salad called "The Chopper!"

It has smoked turkey, salami and garbanzo beans tossed in a homemade Greek feta dressing.

"The salad is dressed perfectly. Not too much, which I cannot stand, and not under dressed. Then there's a great crunch in it and the smoky part of the chicken makes it all come together," she said.

The Filling Station and Garage Bar is opened Tuesday through Sunday for  lunch and dinner.
