FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- A Broward Sheriff's Office employee is on the other side of the law.
The office says one of its civilian employees is now facing criminal domestic violence charges.
Anthony Petruzzi is accused of choking his girlfriend to the point where she nearly passed out.
Petruzzi has worked for the Broward Sheriff's Office as a programmer and analyst since 1999.
