Pedestrian Hit & Killed By Cop After He Decides To Walk Along I-75

WEST BROWARD (CBSMiami) -- A man was fatally struck by a Seminole County Police Officer Saturday along I-75, near Mile Marker 27.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the victim had been a passenger in a vehicle when he had a fight with the driver and other passengers in the car. They stopped on the side of the highway and let him out.

Police said the man then continued to walk westbound on the road when he was hit by the officer's car.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
