Torretta: FSU's Offense is 'Average at Best'

Interviews-wqam

Why can the Miami Hurricanes upset the 12th ranked Florida State Seminoles on Saturday night?

"I think Florida State's offense isn't even remotely close to what it was when Jameis Winston was there," Canes legend Gino Torretta said on Hochman, Crowder and Krantz. "They're average at best. Golson hasn't turned the ball over but he hasn't made a lot of plays at quarterback."

Torretta also points to the questionable health status of all-world running back Dalvin Cook, a former high school teammate of Miami's Joe Yearby. Cook is battling a hamstring injury and averages a whopping 8.6 yards per rush.

"Hamstrings for running backs tend to be issues," Torretta said. "I think offensively they're not where they were. Defensively, they're young."
