Ex-Boyfriend In Trouble Over Allegedly Threatening Texts

HOMESTEAD (CBSMiami) -- A 19-year old man faced a judge Thursday, accused of threatening to post nude photos of his ex-girlfriend on social media.

On Thursday, a judge released Evan Rodriguez on a pre-trial program.

Rodriguez, a student at Miami-Dade College, allegedly sent harassing messages to his ex-girlfriend and threatened to post the nude pictures if she did meet to talk with him.

The ex-girlfriend was inside an academic adviser's office trying to get help as Rodriguez allegedly sent the threatening texts.

The victim told police that some of the pictures she had sent Rodriguez "in confidence were while she was legally considered a minor (17-year old). "

He is now facing charges of extortion/threats,  sexual cyber-harassment, stalking and resisting an officer with violence.
