SR 836 Traffic Shift Starts This Weekend
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Another shift in traffic is set to disrupt drivers along the Dolphin Expressway this weekend, as long as mother nature doesn't interrupt.
Starting Sunday, October 4th, the westbound lanes of State Road 836, between NW 57th Avenue and NW 87th Avenue, will be shifted to the north side of the newly constructed roadway.
Exits at NW 72nd Avenue, West Flagler Street, NW 87th Avenue and both the north and south exit at State Road 826 will remain on the right side of the road.
Once the construction starts, crews will close down the following roads:
The westbound State Road 836 exit ramp to north and south State Road 826 will be closed through the weekend, from 10 p.m. Friday, October 2nd through 6 a.m. Sunday, October 4th. Drivers can exit at NW 72nd Avenue or go west on NW 11th Street to access State Road 836 west and State Road 826 north and south.
The southbound State Road 826 ramp to westbound State Road 836 will close Friday and Saturday night, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Drivers can take the southbound State Road 826 ramp to eastbound State Road 836 and merge left to connect with State Road 836 west.
All westbound State Road 836 travel lanes will close at NW 57th Avenue on Saturday, October 3rd, between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. At that time, two lanes will be opened and two lanes will remain closed until 12 p.m., Sunday, October 4th. The NW 57th Avenue ramp to westbound State Road 836 will also be closed during this time. Drivers can instead exit at NW 57th Avenue and go south; exit west on NW Seventh Street and go north on Milam Dairy Road; or exit west on NW 11th Street to access the State Road 836 west ramp.
Westbound drivers on State Road 836 heading to NW 72nd Avenue or Milam Dairy Road can exit at NW 57th Avenue and go south; exit west on NW 7th Street to connect with Milam Dairy Road; or go north on Milam Dairy Road, and east on NW 11th Street to connect with NW 72nd Avenue.
Westbound drivers on State Road 836 going to West Flagler Street can exit at NW 57th Avenue and go south to connect with West Flagler Street.
Westbound drivers on State Road 836 going to NW 87th Avenue can exit at Northwest 57th Avenue and go south; exit west on NW Seventh Street and go north on Milam Dairy Road; exit west on Northwest 11th Street to access the State Road 836 west ramp and exit at the NW 87th Avenue/NW 12th Street ramp.
Westbound drivers on State Road 836 going north or south on State Road 826 can exit at NW 57th Avenue and go south; exit west on NW Seventh Street and go north on Milam Dairy Road; or exit west on Northwest 11th Street to access either the State Road 836 west ramp or the State Road 826 ramps going north or south.
Drivers on NW 57th Avenue heading westbound on State Road 836 or State Road 826 can go west on Perimeter Road/NW 12th Street; go south on Milam Dairy Road; or go west on Northwest 11th Street to access the State Road 836 west ramp or the State Road 826 ramps going north or south.
