Man Killed In Deerfield Hit-And-Run Accident

DEERFIELD BEACH (CBSMiami) – The Broward Sheriff's Office is investigating a hit and run in Deerfield Beach that claimed the life of man early Sunday.

A BSO deputy patrolling the area said he found Kenneth Jones, 53, on the roadway and called for help.

Investigators believe the suspect was traveling westbound on West Hillsboro Boulevard, approaching NW 2nd Terr. when he hit Jones and then fled.

The area of road where Jones was hit is not designated for pedestrian crossing.

Detectives said evidence found on the roadway reveals the suspect's vehicle is a 2005-2010 model BMW 3 Series that would have damage to the lower front driver's side.
