Brian Baldinger: I Broke a Guy's Ankle -- It Was a 'Week-Long Gameplan'

Interviews-wqam

"I mean I broke a guy's ankle because he tried to take my knee out," former NFL lineman and current broadcaster Brian Baldinger said on Hochman, Crowder and Krantz. "It was tit for a tat, eye for an eye, and that's how you played the game."

Did he specifically go out to break his ankle?

"Yeah, I did," he said. "I went out to break a guy's ankle because my knee still swells everyday because of what he did to me -- a chip shot. That's what you do in this business. You pay him back... I know we're not allowed to say those kind of things anymore but that's the way the game should be played, the way it always has been played. Whether you can say those things or not anymore, I believe in those things.

"It was a week-long gameplan. I couldn't wait til Sunday night... I mean I just played it out. I talked to everybody in the huddle about it, I knew what I was gonna do and got it done."

The likely victim? Eric Swann.
