LITTLE HAVANA (CBSMiami) – Miami Police are searching for a man who crashed a stolen car Monday morning – and it was all caught on Camera.

It happened around 5:30 a.m., moments after a Miami police officer spotted a stolen Dodge Charger.

Surveillance cameras outside a Little Havana house capture a violent crash, where fortunately no one was hurt.

"Loudest noise I ever heard. I thought the wall fell on me. I thought I died. I thought my roommate died because he's closer to the front of the house," said Anthony Nader.

The black Dodge Charger had slammed into Nader's neighbor's pickup truck, causing extensive damage.

Just seconds after crashing, the driver of the Charger got out and took off.

Francisco Rivera brother owns the white truck hit.

"I don't know how that driver could have gotten out of that car without receiving some serious injuries.  And taken off?!" said neighbor Francisco Rivera.

The car, according to Miami Police, was stolen.

An officer had tried to pull the vehicle over but the thief sped off.

The driver lost the cops, but then lost control of the car.

As the crook was fleeing from the scene on foot, police pulled up.

"Cops approach me like I did it.  And I'm like chill I just woke up. I'm seeing if my car is alive still," said Nader.

The thief ends up getting away.  But it might be short lived.

"He left on foot, but he left his phone in the car so he's pretty screwed," said Nader.

Miami Police told CBS4's David Sutta they are still searching for the thief.

They said they did not pursue the charger because he was going way too fast. That's clearly evident with how this all ended.
