Cameras Capture Fire Truck & Rescue Truck Collision

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Cameras captured the moments when a fire truck and a rescue truck collided in Miami sending firefighters and children to the hospital.
The crash happened near Northwest 12th Ave and 14th Street Tuesday afternoon.
In the video, you see the rescue truck arriving at the intersection when all of a sudden the fire truck rushes in front of its path. That's when the ambulance crashes into the side of the truck causing it to flip on its side.
At the time of the crash, the rescue truck was transporting a grandmother and her two grandchildren to the hospital.
Both vehicles are said to have had lights and sirens running.
Once rescue crews arrived, witnesses looked on as firefighters also rescued seven of their colleagues and rushed them to the hospital.
In total 12 people were taken to the hospital. None of those that were treated had life threatening injuries.
Authorities are not sure who was at fault for the crash but an investigation is underway.
