PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) -- A $3,000 dollar reward is up for grabs for anyone with information leading to an arrest in the case of a dog found dead in Pembroke Pines.

The 13-year old Pomeranian named Foxx was found dead with a note attached to him that read "We beat it to death! lol! (evil smiley face). HAHAHA!"

He was located behind the family's condo building at 7980 N. French Drive Saturday morning.

Veterinarians found Foxx had multiple fractures including 10 broken ribs, missing teeth and a broken back.  They said Foxx was likely kicked to death.

Pembroke Pines Police said it appeared to be an isolated incident and there is no other reason to believe other animals in the area are in danger.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Pembroke Pines Police Department at (954)431-2200 or call Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.

The Sun-Sentinel contributed to this report.
