CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) – A man wanted on sex charges involving a minor is now in police custody.

Jose Guillermo De Angulo, 32, turned himself in to Coral Gables Police Monday, police said.

Police said De Angulo met with the girl over social media and lured her to his home on July 25.

According to an arrest warrant, De Angulo contacted the 16-year-old victim via Instagram, and "sent several messages to her in an attempt to engage her in conversation and ultimately meet with her."

The warrant says De Angulo, the teenage girl and her friend went out 5 or 6 times, and at one point he "openly questioned her on the subject" of her age.

The victim told police she told the man she was 18-years old , and when he asked again, she "smiled at him. The subject laughed in response."

Police say De Angulo brought the girl to this apartment on Catalonia Avenue on July 25th and had sex with her.

The next morning, the warrant states the victim's sister saw her getting out of De Angulo's car, and police were eventually notified.

De Angulo is charged with one count of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and one count of interference with custody.
