Miami Dolphins Scrimmage Highlights [Video]

560-WQAM

The Miami Dolphins unleashed their first intra-squad scrimmage of the 2015 preseason, taking the field at FIU Stadium while their digs at Sun Life Stadium receive the finishing touches on Phase 1 of a $400 million facelift.

Although it wasn't pure 11-on-11 with standard game procedures -- like walloping the quarterback -- it provided fans with a good look at some components of the team in live action. While FIU's stadium is on the small side (seats 23,500, announced 16,407), it's a perfect venue for this type of event with every seat in the house being a quality one.

Positives: Ryan Tannehill looked sharp for the most part -- though he threw two picks -- dissecting the defense in the short-to-intermediate passing game. Jarvis Landry was a common target, per usual... Jamil Douglas looked comfortable at left guard in the passing game with the first group... Bobby McCain made the play of the evening, picking off Tannehill on a spectacular toe-tap grab... Brent Grimes also had a pick though it seemed like the wideout failed to make a play on the ball... Damien Williams showed good vision in the red zone... Jordan Cameron caught two touchdowns.

Negatives: Tannehill's two interceptions won't look pretty on paper but one was a fantastic play and the other it was tough to tell fault... Ndamukong Suh ate Billy Turner. As in his limbs can be found at various places across FIU's campus.
