Deputies Investigating Cooper City Accident

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Broward Sheriff's deputies are investigating an accident in Cooper City that happened Saturday afternoon.
Detectives and rescue crews are at the scene located at Palm Avenue near Sheridan Street.
Deputies said there is a car sheared in half and someone had to be extricated from the car. Someone, it is unclear if it was the same person, had to be airlifted to the hospital.
Authorities have closed parts of Palm Avenue due to the accident.
No word on how many people were involved and what caused the crash.
