'Fashion Maven' Uses Phony Credit Card At GameStops

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A 'fashion maven' is wanted in Broward for using a cloned credit card to buy a couple of video game systems.

On June 18th, Rita Freimark's received an alert that her American Express card had been fraudulently used at several locations.

Investigators believe Friemark's card was compromised and then cloned after she she used it at a gas station.

About an hour before the fraud alerts, the Boward Sheriff's Office said the card had been used to purchase a Sony PlayStation 4 at a GameStop in Oakland Park and another in Plantation.

The card was also swiped three times at a Toys "R" Us in Coral Springs but was declined each time.

Surveillance cameras at the GameStop in Plantation gave detectives a good look at who they are searching for. The person who used the card appears to be a white or Hispanic male in his early twenties, clean shaven with dark hair cut in the style of a short mohawk. He has an athletic build and tan skin. He wore a white T-shirt with a graphic design on the front and back. He also wore peach or pink-colored shorts with an embroidery detail throughout.

Anyone with information on the guy is urged to call Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
