Rudabeh Shahbazi To Join CBS4 As Morning News Anchor

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- CBS4 is thrilled to announce the latest addition to our award-winning anchor team. Emmy award winning journalist Rudabeh Shahbazi will join CBS4 as co-anchor of the station's weekday morning newscasts, beginning Monday, August 3rd.

"Rudabeh is a dedicated and accomplished journalist who is passionate about helping her community," said CBS4 Vice President and General Manger Adam Levy. "She will be a great addition to our team."

Shahbazi was most recently a multi-media journalist and fill-in anchor at KABC-TV in Los Angeles. Prior to that, she was a multi-media journalist at KNXV-TV in Phoenix, where she received a regional EMMY Award for reporting. She has also worked in Pasco, Washington and Oakland, California.During her tenure in Southern California, Shahbazi has been very involved with the non-profit organization "School on Wheels." Her work has been focused on serving as a tutor to homeless children in the Los Angeles area.

"I am excited to join the CBS4 team, at a station with a record of quality journalism and investigative reporting." Shahbazi said. "I also can't wait to call South Florida home, explore all the beauty and culture it has to offer, and become part of the community."

Shahbazi received her undergraduate degree in journalism at Pepperdine University and earned her master's degree from the University of California, Berkley Graduate School of Journalism.
