TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami) – Florida State Seminoles freshman quarterback De'Andre Johnson was suspended indefinitely by the team late last month.

Shortly after the suspension, it was revealed that Johnson had been charged with battery after allegedly punching a woman in the face at a Tallahassee bar called Yiannis.

On Monday, surveillance video from the incident that led to the charge was made public by The Tallahassee Democrat.

In the video, Johnson appears to have a verbal exchange with a woman while the two were standing next to the bar.   Things seem to escalate and Johnson grabs the woman's arms.

She then tries to break free and appears to take a swing at Johnson's face, and he responds by seemingly punching her in the face.

Johnson turned himself into the authorities and currently the legal process is ongoing.

According to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press, Johnson was dismissed from the team Monday evening.

Johnson is from Jacksonville and was the state of Florida's Mr. Football in 2014. He enrolled early at Florida State in January. He completed 8 of 11 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns in the spring game in April.
