Green Bay Packers Player Arrested In Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) -- A Green Bay Packers player is in trouble with the law after allegedly shooting his gun in Miami Beach.
Miami Beach Police arrested Andrew Quarless, 26, early Saturday morning on a charge of discharging a firearm in public.
A parking attendant told police he saw a black 4 door Porsche Panamera with two men and two women near a parking lot at the 500 block of Lenox Avenue, according to the report. A separate white car was seen with several women inside, coming out of the parking lot.
That's when, the witness told police, the men allegedly got out of the car and started talking to the women in the other car. The report states the discussion became hostile.
The parking attendant told police he heard the women in the white vehicle raising their voices and saying things like "no," "get away," and " leave me alone."
That's when, the report states, Quarless walked up to the white car with a semi automatic handgun and pointed it towards the sky at which point two gunshots were heard.
Quarless then allegedly left the area with the other man in the Porsche but officers were later able to track the car down based on the witness description, parked on the 400 Block of Washington Avenue.
Officers said they found Quarless "attempting to conceal himself and the black firearm in a nearby plant."
Police said they found a firearm hidden in a potted plant. Investigators said they were able to match the bullet casings with the caliber of the gun found in the plant.
The other people who has been in the Porsche were taken to the police station for interviews. That's when, according to police, one of the women who was a passenger in the car said she and Quarless were in a heated argument and as a result, he "discharged his firearm in an apparent attempt to emphasize dominance and manhood."
Quarless was later taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. His bond was set at $1,000, and he has since bonded out.
The report states the people in the white vehicle were never seen or heard from again.
