Miami Heat Announce Summer League Roster, Dates

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – In the midst of the NBA's free-agent frenzy that began on July 1st, the Miami Heat has released the roster for its summer league team.

2015 draft picks Justise Winslow and Josh Richardson will be on the squad, along with several players who spent time on the Heat's roster last season such as Zoran Dragic, James Ennis and Shabazz Napier.

The Heat will field teams in both the Orlando Pro Summer League and the Samsung NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

Serving as the head coach for Miami's team will be Heat assistant coach and director of player development Dan Craig.

The group began practice sessions on Wednesday in Miami and they will continue for the rest of the week.

The Heat will begin summer league play on July 4th in Orlando, playing five games over the seven day event. Following the Orlando championship game on July 10th, the team will then head to Las Vegas where that league will begin play on July 11th and conclude on the 20th.

Heat center Hassan Whiteside will practice with the team throughout the two leagues but he is not scheduled to participate in any games.
