DEERFIELD BEACH (CBSMiami) - Three people were injured during a shooting outside of a Deerfield Beach night club.

According to Broward Sheriff's investigators, shots were fired just after 4 a.m. outside of Tropicante Night Club on North Dixie Highway and NE 42nd Street.

"We know that the three victims had been inside the club and the club had closed just after 4 a.m. and they were leaving, two of them were sitting in a car in the parking lot right right around the corner and a third was standing near the car when they were shot," said sheriff's spokewoman Dani Moschella.

The two people in the car drove off when the gunfire erupted, but only made it a few blocks and ended up in a residential area.

All three of the injured were taken to North Broward Medical Center.

"Fortunately, none of their injuries were life threatening," said Moschella.

Broward Sheriff's investigators spent the morning going over two cars in the club's parking lot and the victim's car several blocks away.

If you have any information you are asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
