Boy Stung By Stingray Off Florida Beach

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A 10-year boy has quite a story to tell after he was stung by stingray.
He was walking on Fort De Soto Beach with his family when the ray sunk an eight inch barb into his foot.
"I was crying because I didn't know what it was. I thought it was very poisonous or something," he said.
The family raced to the hospital where doctors had to cut open his foot to remove a three inch piece of barb that had broken off.
The boy is expected to be fine.
