Jeb Plays Up Accomplishments As Gov Before "Big Announcement"

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The Gibson Center at Miami-Dade College's Kendall campus will serve as the backdrop when former Florida Governor Jeb Bush announces his plan to seek the Republican nomination for President Monday.
Ahead of the announcement, Bush has released several campaign videos on YouTube
"I see a great country on the verge of its greatest century, and I'm ready to lead," he said in one clip.
In the videos, he talks up his time as Governor of Florida.
"We led. We reformed. We got results. That's what's missing in Washington. The DC crowd talks about what's wrong with Washington. I see what's right," he said.
Bush will join an already crowded Republican field that includes Senators Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio along with retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson and former business executive Carly Fiorina
A recent Quinnipiac poll had Bush in a statistical dead heat with Rubio and Carson, among voters asked which Republican they would choose if they had to vote in the primary today.
But the presidential contender says he puts little stock in those numbers.
"You like them if you're winning, you hate them if you're losing. It's only June for crying out loud," he said. "There's a long way to go."
While the Gibson Center will be full of Jeb supporters Monday afternoon, one will be noticeably absent.
Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen tweeted "Proud that @JebBush is announcing the next step... Won't be there due to votes, but with you in spirit mi amigo!"
Bush unveiled his new logo over the weekend and signs barring the emblem are posted all over the campus where he will speak Monday.
They say simply "Jeb! 2016", with no trace of the family name that spent a collective 12 years in the White House.
"Jeb is different than George," Jeb Bush told CNN. "Our life stories are different."
If he follows in his father's and brother's footsteps and wins the nomination and eventually the presidency, he'd become "Bush 45".
After the announcement, Jeb Bush is expected to host a town hall event in New Hampshire Tuesday.
