ORLANDO (CBSMiami/AP) – A man who is shown on video being kicked by an Orlando police officer while sitting on a curb wants criminal charges filed against the officers.

On Wednesday, Noel Carter asked the State Attorney to file battery charges against the officer who kicked him at least half-dozen times as well as another officer who was involved. The officers were working off-duty at a downtown nightclub last Thursday.

The video was captured by a bystander.

Orlando police officers claim the video shows only a portion of what happened. They have charged Carter with battering his ex-girlfriend outside the nightclub and resisting arrest.

Carter's attorneys say the officers' accounts are false.
