Report: Dolphins Make Offer to DT CJ Mosley

The Miami Dolphins offered a contract to defensive tackle CJ Mosley, according to the Miami Herald. Two other teams are interested, including the Lions.

"He had a great visit and the Dolphins made clear they would love to add him as soon as possible," his agent, Harold Lewis, told me. "The ball is in C.J.'s court. A couple of other teams are interested in acquiring CJ. We're hopeful a decision will be made this week."

The Lions are interested in re-signing Mosley, who was their third defensive tackle last season. The identity of the third team is unknown.

According to Pro Football Focus, CJ Mosley graded out as the NFL's 26th best defensive tackle last season. The 31-year-old 11-year veteran finished with 17 tackles and 2.5 sacks in eight starts last season and figures to provide depth behind former teammate Ndamukong Suh and Earl Mitchell.
