The store's employees told police the four subjects, three males and one female , removed the hair extensions from a storage room located in the back of the store. They then placed the them in a back pack.

The employees said when they confronted them, one of the boys produced a firearm from underneath his shirt. They then ran out of the store with approximately $5,000 in extensions.

"Speechless. Nothing to say. Just shock. There was a customer and I said 'Don't say anything'," store manager Nur Uddin said when he recalled the moment he saw the firearm.

Uddin said all four robbers appeared to be kids.

He said the walked in to the store separately and walked around for a while, which got his attention.

"Almost half an hour I think they was inside of the store," Uddin said. "They're doing something, keep doing, doing something. We kept asking, 'What do you guys need?'"

Uddin eventually realized something wasn't right and grabbed the backpack, but the kids refused to leave it behind.

That's when one boy took out a gun.

"I said let him go because he had a gun and we didn't want any damage to anybody," Uddin explained.

He thinks they knew exactly what they were looking for, because they only took one particular brand of hair extensions, which retail from more than $100 per pack.

Police believe one of the boys involved could be as young as 8 years old.

"What really concerns the North Miami Beach Police Department and should concern the community is the ages of these subjects," Captain Richard Rand said.

"That's the most shocking thing. How could the little boy do that stuff? Their parents teach them, because how'd they know what to get," Uddin said.

Police believe the oldest member of the group is around 17 years old.

Anyone with information, should call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
