Officer Robbed, Bound With Bed Sheets At Plantation Hotel

PLANTATION (CBSMiami) -- A Hollywood Police officer quickly had the tables turned on him while staying at a Plantation hotel with his wife.
Plantation Police said the officer was in his room at a Residence Inn located at 130 N University Drive when he heard a knock on the door of his hotel room just after 6:30 a.m. on Thursday.
The officer opened the door, thinking it was his wife returning to the room, but instead found two black men armed with handguns.
A struggle ensued and ended with the officer struck in the head with the butt of a pistol and bound with bed sheets. The men had also placed a pillowcase over his head.
The bandits got away with cash and property.
Police said they are looking for two black men and possibly a third suspect.
Surveillance cameras captured two of the men in lobby walking in before the armed robbery, police said.
