TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/AP) — Your late night Netflix binges will get a little cheaper energy wise when Florida Power & Light starts lowering its rates in May. .

State regulators on Thursday approved lowering FPL rates.

The bill of an average residential customer will go down by about $3 a month. FPL estimates that the typical business customers should see a reduction anywhere from 3-6 percent.

FPL is Florida's largest utility and has approximately 4.7 million customers.

The lower bills are due primarily to a projected decrease in natural gas prices.
