HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) - A flakka bender ended with one man dead in West Park, his friend charged with manslaughter.

The shooting happened in front of a home at 4111 SW 22nd Street just after 9 a.m.

Travis Lee, 31, was well into a three-day flakka and molly binge when his friend, 34-year old Richard Andrews, decided to join him, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Both Lee and Andrews have criminal histories.

The two men met up around 5 a.m. Friday. As the morning progressed, they added vodka and more molly to the mix, according to the sheriff's office. After reportedly selling some heroin, they decided to go to Andrew's sister in the West Park neighborhood of Carver Ranches.

As Andrews worked on a white Buick backed into the driveway at his sister's home, Lee took a shotgun out of a Cadillac, which was parked next to it, and put it in the trunk.

Once the shotgun was in the trunk, Lee tried to unload it but it went off. The shot ripped through the side of the Cadillac's trunk and hit Andrews in the face. He died on the scene.

Lee is now charged with manslaughter with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
