Arrest Ends Car Burglary Crime Spree In Weston

WESTON (CBSMiami) – The Broward Sheriff's Office said the car burglary crime spree in Weston has come to an end after they arrested the prolific pilferer.

BSO's Weston Crime Suppression Team detectives were conducting a burglary operation on March 31st when they said they spotted 21-year-old Brayan Andres Sinisterra pull up to the Waterway Shoppes II parking lot and case multiple cars.

Sinisterra reportedly targeted a Ford Fusion and opened the driver-side door with a screwdriver.

The Fusion's alarm went off causing Sinisterra to run back into his car, where police apprehended him.

Deputies said they found .5 grams of cocaine, a digital scale, multiple modified screwdrivers and six bags of miscellaneous property from previous burglaries.

Sinisterra faces charges for grand theft, burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is being held for $7,100 bond.

Detectives said Sinisterra is linked to two additional cases with more expected as the investigation continues.
