Stephen Ross: I'd Be Proud Having Suh As My Son

WQAM

Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is serving up some bizarre claims at the 2015 NFL Owners Meetings in Arizona.

A couple of weeks after defending Ndamukong Suh, both the person and the player, in his introductory press conference, he's back on the defensive regarding Suh's blatant unsportsmanlike play on the field. Boss Ross dismisses the dirty narrative completely.

Interesting hypothetical, Mr. Ross.

After making the goliath defensive tackle the highest paid defensive player in NFL history, maybe his goal is simply to defend that player at all costs despite failing to recognize the facts regarding Suh's antics on the field. They include:

  • Seven player-safety violations.
  • Over $420,000 in fines.
  • A two-game suspension.
  • A Sporting News poll, voted on by NFL players, naming Suh as the dirtiest player in the NFL.
  • Forbes naming him the NFL's least liked player.

Ndamukong Suh might be a sensational talent, the best defensive player in football, and a nice person off the field. But for an owner to blindly defend a player's unsportsmanlike conduct after that player has been convicted of severe unsportsmanlike conduct countless times just spells out delusion, doesn't it?
