MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Miami Police said a young man used an online dating app to target a victim for a home invasion robbery.

Roger Euceda, 18, was arrested Monday night along with a 17-year-old boy.

According to investigators, Euceda connected with a man on a smart phone dating app and arranged a meeting.

When he arrived at the victim's home in the 3200 block of NW 21 Ave, police say Euceda was invited inside.

An arrest report said Euceda then took out a gun and instructed the victim to lie face down on the bed. He then allowed his partner-in-crime in the house and ransacked the place, police said, filling two bags before trying to run away.

But the young men did not get far.

Police were already in the area because a neighbor called 911.

Euceda and another person were arrested.

They face charges of home invasion robbery, use of a firearm during commission of a felony and resisting arrest without violence.

Euceda was in court Tuesday. He was denied bond.

Investigators believe a third person was also involved.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Miami Police Department's Robbery Unit or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
