BAL HARBOUR (CBSMiami) -- A woman, reportedly caught on camera, stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and other items from a Bal Harbour man turned herself in to police on Thursday.

Alexandria Layce Martinez-Davis no doubt hopes her time in jail will be much shorter than her name.

She turned herself in to Bal Harbour police late Thursday morning on a grand theft charge.

Despite the change in her hair color from blonde to brown, police said she is the same woman caught on surveillance video, entering an elevator in a Bal Harbour condo building, carrying a man's Rolex, his two grand in cash, and wearing his six hundred-dollar Gucci loafers on her feet.

"I believe the video is pretty clear that it is her. She's wearing his property. I think it's pretty definitive," said Bal Harbour Police Captain Miguel De La Rosa.

He was determined to find her, after a victim came forward saying he met the woman at a bar at the Fontainbleau Hotel, brought her to his place and fell asleep. He awoke to find nearly 16-thousand dollars worth of his belongings gone.

"She's very cunning. She gains their confidence. She doesn't seem to be afraid to go to the residences with these individuals, to spend some time with these individuals, and then go ahead and steal their property," said De La Rosa.

He is sure there are other victims who are too embarrassed to say this young woman duped them.

"There's reluctance for individuals to come forth and let us know what happened and that they were victimized by this lady," he said.

Her attorney Seth Lavey said otherwise. He said his client maintains her innocence, and that they haven't heard anything about other alleged victims.

Martinez-Davis was also arrested late last year, accused of stealing two Rolex watches from a date's home. That charge was later dropped.

Martinez-Layce is charged with grand theft- but will not be able to bond out until she sees a judge. She may have a hearing requiring her to prove her bail money would not be coming from items stolen from wealthy men.
