LAUDERDALE LAKES (CBSMiami) – Police are investigating a homicide that took place late Saturday night in Lauderdale Lakes.

According to authorities, police arrived at the scene located at 4030 W. Oakland Park Blvd to find one adult male with apparent stab wounds.

A passerby called 911 around 9:30pm to report that an injured man was laying in the parking lot next to a Burger King and was bleeding badly.

The victim was transported to Broward Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

An ongoing dispute between two men, one being the victim, that had been going over for at least a few days led to the fatal confrontation, according to Broward Police.

The name of the 37-year-old male victim has yet to be released.

Detectives say the man died of 'sharp force injuries' but are unsure of exactly what kind of weapon was used.

Police are searching for the suspect, an unidentified white male around 6-feet-tall with a slim build and shaved head with stubble.  He is said to be in his 40's or 50's and was last seen wearing a grey T-shirt and black shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Broward Sheriff's Office homicide Detective Valerian Perez at (954) 321-4210 or report anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS.

Police are offering a reward of up to $3000 for information leading to an arrest.
