Car Of Missing Teacher, Musician Found In Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- The car of a woman who was has been missing since January was found in a Fort Lauderdale waterway on Friday.
Fifty-one year old musician and piano teacher Lisa Hayden Gordon, who goes by the name Noodles, was reported missing on January 24th.
On Friday, Fort Lauderdale Police said they discovered a submerged car at Cooley's Landing. The car found matched the description and had the same tag number as Gordon's car.
"We have reached out the missing persons family to let them know we have recovered the vehicle," said Frank Sousa with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.

Officers previously said she drove a 2003 Hyundai Elantra with a tag number of 303- I-E-Q. It has a faded blue paint job and had moon and sun decals on it.
Chopper4 was over the scene as divers went in to confirm there was a body inside. Crews were also seen pulling the car out of the water. It is confirmed that there is a body inside the car but police have not said if it's Gordon's body. Friends said they will use her dental records to make an identification.
"That vehicle along with the body has been transported to the medical examiner's office where this investigation is going to continue," said Sousa.
This is not the news family and friends wanted to hear.
Investigators said the night Noodles went missing she was on a date at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale with a man she met online.
She was with several friends as well. Detectives said those friends were going to take her home because they thought she had too much to drink. That's when police said Noodles went to use the bathroom at the Poorhouse bar and then vanished.
Her friends told investigators they looked for her, waited for her, but didn't find her. They ended up leaving.
Noodles' friend Teri Catlin said she spoken to people who saw Gordon later that night walking in an alley behind the Poorhouse bar with her keys in hand.
Another person reported seeing her on a party bus that takes bar patrons around to bars downtown.
"We understand that there is a lot of questions. We understand this family's concern because they have been very active in trying to locate this female," said Sousa.
