MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Homestead residents who wake up early this week may see strange lights over the air reserve base.

Don't panic, it's not aliens or falling killer meteors.

The lights will be from the U.S. Army's Golden Knights parachute team which will be conducting early morning and nighttime training jumps starting around 4 a.m. on Tuesday. The practice operations will run through Thursday.

Area residents should expect to see lights descending from the sky around and over the Homestead Air Reserve Base. The team will be using flares and other illumination devices as part of their training.

This is the sixth year the parachute team has been at the base conducting their winter training.

Homestead ARB is the winter home to the world famous parachute team that is home based out of Ft. Bragg, N.C.
