Major Palmetto Traffic Shift This Weekend

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Here we go again, South Florida, another traffic shift coming to the palmetto expressway this weekend.
Major changes to your drive are going in to affect this weekend.
Construction is closing portions of the 826 all in preparation for a new traffic pattern.
On Sunday morning all southbound lanes on 826 from 836 to West Flagler Street will be shifted to a new bridge over Northwest 7th Street.
Drivers on southbound 826 going to West Flagler Street will need to use a new exit ramp which will be located approximately three quarters of a mile before the existing exit ramp.

So on your drive home from work Monday expect some confusion and as a result delays.
But before the changes happen on Sunday. There are a number of closures on Saturday night.
First, All southbound 826 lanes will be closed at the ramp to eastbound SR 836 from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Then the eastbound 836 ramps to southbound SR 826 will be closed from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
And finally, The westbound 836 ramp to southbound 826 will be closed from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
