Suspect Attacks Woman, Rips Chain Off Her Neck

HIALEAH (CBSMiami) – It happened in front of a barbershop in a parking lot in Hialeah. A lady with the gold chain on suddenly became the victim of a large attacker.
Surveillance video shows the attacker run in and attack her out of nowhere, grabbing the gold chain off of her neck.
Joel Roig cuts hair at Chops City Barber Shop and saw what happened and jumped into action.
"We heard the lady screaming and I see her and I see her neck really red and she says my chain and I'm like what and the guy bolts," said Roig.
Roig took off chasing after the thief.

"You know she's an older woman and you're going to come and try to rob her chain, come on bro," said Roig.
Others joined in on the chase. Six people were after the bad guy until he jumped over a fence and got away.
CBS4's Cynthia Demos asked Roig "What were you going to do if you caught him??"
"It wasn't going to be too good for him," he replied.
The cops arrived on the Hialeah scene and took the report of the woman who didn't want to speak on camera, but was shaken, stunned and shocked like everyone who witnessed the attack for a simple gold chain.
"I know she was devastated she was crying," said Roig.
The woman is ok.
The attacker is on the loose right now anyone with information is asked to call police.
