Police: 3-Year-Old Shot Mother In The Leg

DAVIE (CBSMiami) - A Davie woman was taken to the hospital after she was shot in the leg, reportedly by her 3-year-old, inside her Davie home.
Police confirmed Tuesday afternoon that the mother was shot accidentally in the leg by her 3-year-old while she was sleeping at 4820 SW 59th Terrace.

The woman was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital with what was termed a 'non-life threatening' injury. She's expected to make a full recovery.
It is unclear if the gun belongs to the mother or father.
Investigators have determined the shooting was accidental.
