MIAMI (CBSMiami) – When it comes to what we are paying at the pump, many are wondering just how low we'll go.

In the last month, Florida drivers have seen gas prices fall about 28-cents. AAA Motor Club reports a gallon of unleaded regular is averaging $2.07 over the weekend compared to $2.35 a month ago. The national average is $2.06 a gallon.

The average price for regular unleaded in Miami is $2.18, down from $2.43 a month ago. A year ago, regular unleaded was averaging about $3.40 a gallon.

In Fort Lauderdale, the average price for regular unleaded is also $2.18, compared to $2.47 a month ago and $3.40 a year ago.

The falling prices at the pump are a product of global oil prices tumbling to multi-year lows. While gas prices are likely to increase this spring due to seasonal demand and maintenance, barring any major increase in the global price of crude, AAA expects the national average to remain below $3 per gallon during 2015.

West Palm Beach is the most expensive place to fill up, at $2.26 a gallon for reg. unleaded, while Tampa is the cheapest spot to top off the tank at $1.94 a gallon.
