Police Looking For Armed Gas Station Robbers

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Police are looking for armed robbers who posed as customers, and demanded money from the register.
The incident happened over a month ago at the Chevron gas station located at 4100 NW 27th Avenue.
Two subjects, according the Miami-Dade Police Department, posed as customers in order to be allowed entry into the gas station around 2:48 a.m. on December 18th.
A third person entered the gas station, approached the victim with a gun and demanded money from the register, police said.
The victim complied, and the subjects ran away on foot with money.
The victim was not injured.
Police believe the criminal is probably in his late teens or twenties.
Heidy Rojas, a clerk at the store, has been robbed before but can't afford to quit her job. She told CBS4's Peter D'Oench she wants the guys caught.
"They should be caught—that's all," Rojas said. "We work here every morning and at night to earn our money for them to just come here and try to take our money away."
Police are hoping the surveillance cameras will help lead to an arrest.
"The main things with these types of robberies are just that these young people are willing to take the public's lives in their own hands and place everybody at risk for a small amount of money, it's really not worth it at the end of the day," said Detective Romelio Martinez.
